Paula Duarte Rocha is a partner at MDR Advogados.

Paula Duarte Rocha is highly experienced in the Mozambican market, having intervened in all areas of practice, advising both national and foreign investors, as well as national and foreign private companies. Paula has notable experience and track record in banking & project finance transactions. Experienced on cross border transactions and regulatory issues, Paula developed know how in advising economic operators and contracting authorities in public procurement and public private partnerships.

Paula Duarte Rocha is a registered arbitrator with the Mozambican Centre for Arbitration, Conciliation and Mediation (since 2002) with relevant experience in commercial arbitration, as a nominated arbitrator by the parties and as Chairman of the Arbitral Tribunal and was the IBA Tax Reporter for Mozambique (2012 – 2014). In January 2014 Paula started her collaboration with Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva & Associados, a Portuguese law firm, as a consultant in all matters pertaining to Mozambique.

She is a member of the Mozambique Internationalization Commission of the Commercial Arbitration Center.

Paula Duarte Rocha was also president of the Training and Bar Access Examination Committee of the Mozambique Bar Association (2014) and a member of the National Council of the Mozambique Bar Association (2016).
